Parents & Friends
The role of the Parents & Friends Association is to build a sense of belonging in the school community and to raise funds for the school.
Glenferrie’s P&F is constituted under the Victorian Department of Education. All funds raised are audited as part of the school’s budgeting processes.
Throughout the year the P&F run a series of school and class events, including the Glenferrie Road Festival Book Stall, Family breakfast (e.g. for Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day), Book Talks, Bunnings BBQ, Election Day Sausage Sizzles, Footy Day, Book Day and Italian Day. We also run the start-of-year Welcome Picnic and BBQ, Trivia Night and the Taste of Glenferrie – an incredible family night of food and entertainment from around the world.
For new starters, the P&F supports morning teas for the incoming Prep parents and coordinates the nomination of a parent representative for each class to set up informal chat or WhatsApp groups and who organises informal picnics and parent nights out. Funds raised by P&F fundraising have purchased student take-home readers, supported landscaping projects, purchasing of PMP equipment and much more.

Glenferrie Primary P&F are always in need of people to help out in all aspects from classroom representatives, pre-event planning, sourcing and purchasing for events, advertising events, set up and help at the time of events.
